Regarding speedo accuracy on bikes. I think they're definately improving. Case in point, riding with my father. He's on a Aprilia Falco, with a electronic speedo read off the rear wheel and fed through a computer. I'm riding a Suzuki RF900 with a mechanically driven speedo. I hit an indicated ~145mph but later he said he only saw about 130 while pacing me.

My top speed on a track was only 1723kph. 
But I just started playing Fzero so it should get higher with practice.

I got up to 145 one time but I was only running a 50 shot NAWS and running on 3 cyl. (broke the spark plug trying to get it out with a cresent wrench). Anyway, I bet she will hit the 200 mph mark just as soon as I get back from pep boys. I got some fresh *** Japanese writing stickers to go down the side. I know, I know its a german car but Japanese enginering is far better IMHO.

My top speed on my bike(Not the kind with a Engine) was 68.5 (as indicated by my Speedo) I was going down a hill (I think on orgonia.rd)... 68.5mph on a bike is scary expecially when you are drafting 4" from the front riders rear tire..
