Hey everyone, obviously we all love our Pcars and the all Pcars in general. I have an idea, and I do not know if has been thought of or discussed before.
I am curious if it is logistically possible to arrange some kind of group vacation/getaway/Porsche factory tour/Nurburgring day/Porsche Driving experience school/Autbahn Day/Pcar Rental/Resort-Hotel deal etc etc etc?
Who better to experience this with but other Rennlisters who would appreciate it? Obviously all these activities wouldn't be possible, as the cost would be great, but we could do some, no? I am sure we could use the "group buying power" for deals, as well we must all together have some good contacts within the Pcar world to perhaps help arrange things?
This would be the vacation of a life time, not to mentiont the other non automotive cultural things we could experince....mmmmmmm beer garten haha![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Anyone interested or have any feedback, suggestions? If so post here, as well as your ideas!

I would think a bunch of Rennlisters could work something out with the Fast Lane Travel group. They seem to have quite a thing going from the reports I read in Pano.

Yes PCA offers various trips depending on your region. Our region is going planned a cruise this year, but i couldnt go! (work!!!!) PCA also offers an awesome vacation package called Trefen. All kinds of cool stuff are included and a stay at the Porsche Castle is involved if you upgrade to a longer stay. Its something i definitely want to do one day!

PCA is someone else. Bunch of polishers and tightwads if you ask me.
A rennlist gathering would be MUCH MUCH more fun. Were more the beer group than a wine and cheese group.
Across the street was a z-car convention. Similar to us. The cars ranged the
gammut from everyday beaters, trailered race cars, and brand new highly
modified z-car thingies.
Was at a hotel. I happen to know the people there. They got a marked off
part of the parking lot to themsleves, no charge. Discounted room rates.
They had a catered BBQ one day. As well as the group power to rent out
Loudon raceway for a day or two (During the week when it would be slow
anyways). They did other things during the day. Incluiding some fun runs I'm sure.
The nights were in drunken debauchery where they could stumble up to their rooms safely.
I would think something like 944 Fest, but with a hotel, over a few days.
Even better right after 944 fest so a whole group can head over to the
convention en masse. MAybe add some sort of charity fundraising event to
give it all an air of responsibility. Maybe some kind of a race with an
entry fee, prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd, with the balance going to toys for
tots or something.
Would have to be central, but maybe could alternate east coast west coast
every year.
As the semi official events cordinator I'd be more than willing to try to
arrange it.
Segway owners did something similar in Chicago called Segfest. $175 to get in. Includes t-shirt, hat and fiddly bits, maybe a dinner. We could then do extras like the race as a seperate cost.
You guys set expectations, give an idea of attendance.
Maybe someone can come up with a t-shirt design.
Maybe a sticker with a spot for year numbers. so that people can get badges for each year.

unfortunately I see that trip for me years in the future..
