Do you really like Coors Light?

^^^^ and Matt, the last time I walked in at the parts counter at Performance Products the guy behind the counter had no issues telling me that almost half of what they sell they order from Pelican.

....If you don't believe me I think there is a tread somewhere when I was replacing my ICV that PP actually referred me around the corner to TRE Motorsports. They didn't stock an ICV and TRE does at 2/3 the price.

Pete, somewhere in OT there is a picture of the guy right around the corner from my office that has three 914's in his driveway.... Makes me want one too.

Now that, Doug, is a COOL avatar!!!

Having three 914s reminds me of that old joke about getting one of something for winning a contest, and getting two of the same something for finishing second.

Wow, I always had good luck getting parts from Automotion. That was a bunch of years ago though.

I put in a call to a guy I know to see if he can find one. If not, try PMing racing916 - his Dad Jack has a good stash of parts and Jack's friend Bob has lots of stuff. I would do it quick though - Hershey is this weekend and they sell a ton of stuff there. If they don't have one, you might convince them to look while at Hershey.

Thanks. This picture on my desk in an official invitation to the Walter's Porsche Driver's Experience last summer. It just dawned on me this morning that it's the same car as the one in Matt's avatar. I can't drive my car onto that dealer's lot without finding the entire sales staff fondling it when I'm done with the parts counter. You think Matt has the same issue with the #6 Spyder???

Thanks, Matt. If an AFM fixes the remaining running issues, I'll actually be able to take this out of the garage - it's come a long way in about seven months!

Looking Good. Still no word back from Scott the parts guy.

Doug, taking the Spyder anywhere is a project. It's so low, people gather around, and the tickets for being too loud get old. Now I mostly keep in in the garage.

I'll bet it's hard to drive 55 mph or less...

Are you talking about the spyder, or Pete?

Any chance one of those 914's is a blue 914-6 with flares?

GREAT NEWS! I have successfully recruited, with Marc's help at Red Line, a true electronics guru to clean, verify and repair my AFM - and ECU!!! What a weight off, if problems are found I'll hold off on replacing the FI harness (which appears to be good), and doing nothing more than wet sanding the front trunk lid, repairing a couple of divots that I didn't see or feel, and getting another coat of paint on it. And, maybe, fixing some of the wiring at the center tunnel - I would love to get the seats/seatbelts back in the car. Now, all that I have to do is hope that the AFM is good enough to repair, and not a throw-away.
