Hey, Martin, this month's issue of 'Excellence' has a 914GT built up by Max Moritz. Cool lookin' green car with some neat history. There are some awesome close-up photo's of gas cap, drilled door handles, and the like. Eye poppin' candy for sure!

Martin,
Being around John's former 914 for many years, I was a little sad to see her go so far away. Being a 914 guy myself, it makes me so happy to see that she is being done over in a correct way and that you are a true Porsche guy. I am looking forward to seeing her when she is done. Best wishes - Jay Gratton

Hey, Martin, methinks you can answer this question. What's that chrome thing in the middle of the door on the Moritz GT? Looks like a misplaced side marker light or something...

Martin,
The quality of your work is out-double-standing!!! I know your disapponted with your working conditions, however, I am glad there are people with your dedication and level of craftsmanship working on keeping our planes in the sky. Keep up the great work and please ask your lovely wife to keep those pictures coming. I can't wait to see it finished!! I have a real passion for 914's also and I have been looking for a clean chassis to start a project like yours. Is your old chassis worth restoring for a track car??

Best regards, Mike

Martin,
You are obviously a gifted craftsman. Have you considered starting your own shop doing restorations and marketing the replica parts you've designed?? The most successful and "happiest" people I have ever met had businesses that captured or was an outlet for their passion and enthusiasim. It really wasn't work for them anymore. The money comes in naturally when you pursue your passion and people will appreciate what you do. I design and build houses. Most of the time I love what I do, however, I also have the satisfaction of knowing these homes will outlast me and several generations of families will use and enjoy them. If you have pictures of this spare chassis I would appreciate looking at them. Do the fiberglass fenders hold up well on the track?? Would you consider sellin it outright?? If yes, how much??

Thanks, Mike mrhude@aol.com

Default Who helped you find the trans?

Uhh, I turned you towards the whole package.
Not that it matters.

Glad you got it. When will you run the car?

Thumbs up AWESOME

Martin, this is an awesome thread . I have forwarded it to my buddy in Madrid, who is just starting the same project. His name is Angel Garcia Ferrer, and he may contact you for some advice and inspiration. I'll continue to follow your adventure.

Martin, tell us more about the tires you have selected.
Will you be getting longer wheel studs?

Nice progress.
