Call yours what you want but it is a 911 Turbo.

I call my car what it is called by Porsche Ing. not by its internal code. Porsche called it, statement of originated it, and people title them properly as a 911Turbo

Yes there is--> Yours.

The car since 1980 is a 911 Turbo

...with many iterations with which you try to explain away your incorrectness.

Call your car yellow eyes for all I care. It is however a 911 Turbo
I never said it wasn't...but you're so "I'm right you're wrong" that you missed the whole point...honestly who the heck cares..what I like to see is pics of your so called 911 Turbo..no wait 930...no no 911 Turbo..noooooo 930..talk the talk...now walk the walk....let's see some pics new guy...which is what we all give a s*** about anyway

Well La-Dee-Da. Speedy finally admits his car is a 911Turbo with that change of tune.

Thank you.

So called? Make that Porsche Ing called.

You intimating I have never owned a 911 Turbo? Wrong again, Tonto.

Tell me what matter does the pictures of my cars have here? If I never had one so what?

You trying to say that anything I say in a scholarly manner is suspect? Big ego ya got there.

I have owned and if you want I will email you pics of my:

1976 930
1977 930
1978 911 SC
1984 911 Turbo
1991 911 Turbo
1992 911 Turbo
1997 911 Turbo
2003 911 Turbo
2010 GT3

I don't have pics of the earlier 911 cars but there were a half dozen.

This is not my first rodeo with P cars.

OK folks...nothing to see here. Move along. Speedy admits the error of his ways. He has a 911 Turbo which he refers to as a 930.

You have been saying you have a 930 ad nasuem. Just look at your profile. No 911 Turbo in sight there. Just a 1986 930.

Get over your self. You are wrong about the name. And what is with " easy to type a list of cars" Cheap shot with no backup to prove a thing after you accuse me of not having any 911 Turbos.

Wah...Wah... Wah.

Refresh that list. I missed a couple 911 Turbos first time around. (prolly because I hated those 964 iterations of 911 Turbo)

Make up your mind.

First you want me to post pictures and then you accuse me of 'get plenty of pics from the net' .

Com'n do those above look like they are from the net? - Rhetorical question.

How about staying on topic rather than throwing insults? Grow up.

From 1980 on the cars are called by Porsche Ing 911 Turbos not 930 cars.

While I am at it, here is another 'P' car for the Speed. One of 9 I owned and restored.

Get the 'pictcha' speed? I have a fine collection. Lemme find the Viper GTS and a fleet of Corvettes. Nope I would just be wasting bandwith on you...but if you insist. Ha!

Run that Massachusetts plate. It comes back to me.

The only information I offered pertained to what and when Turbo cars where named by Porsche Ing.

Since the OP's question essentially was, do I have a 911 Turbo or a 930? I have answered that with facts and the OP now agrees with the list below.

He has a 911 Turbo

1975 through 1979 were the only cars named 930 by Porsche Ing.

From 1980 on they were named 911 Turbo by Porsche Ing.

Insults were first carried out by you"obtuse remember"..your need to be correct is so great that you miss the point..I find no need in trying to explain what most of us know anyway...I'm not that self righteous. You apparently know more than all of us...including all the journalist,Porsche parts distributor and the factory. Seriously this was fun for a while but now it's just boring...pony up some dollars and support the site like the rest of us...then blabber all you want as a member....

...fellows...peace!...

CityGuy, you have a great collection of Porsche cars you listed. I would love to see a picture of the rest. I don't care for Vipers, but I hear that the current model is good... What color is the SC? How is that motor on that car?

You should have kept one of the 930s. Perhaps that's why you are so are so bitter.

Speedy 'obtuse' is not an insult. You are and have been just that.

However accusing me of just listing fasely or just grabbing net pics is and insult that was uncalled for especially with no reason to do so.

Please, you keep making references to everything but Porsche, Ing; and that it the source for the naming process of our cars -journalists and parts distributor did not name the car.

You even throttled back on your insistence that you have 930 by saying ' I never said I did not have a 911Turbo' Well, you do great impression of someone who refuses to call his car what it is. Look at your profile. Perhaps it should be updated to say 1986 911 Turbo internal code 930. We all know what the internal code for a 1986 Turbo is. It is redundant, but go for it.

Thank you. I agree on the Viper. Unrefined and the worst brakes in any car I have ever owned. It had no ability to threshold brake as we do. Scary.

The 911SC was Petrol blue. A very distinctive color. I loved it. The car would rev to 8200 no problem. Of course I removed the rev limiting rotor from the distributor and put in a test pipe removing the catalytic converter. It was the only P car that would 'scratch second gear rubber' on the shift.

If Speedy doesn't come back with some snide nonsense I will just repeat the facts one more time and put this to rest:

The OP agrees has a 911 Turbo.

1975 through 1979 were the only cars named 930 by Porsche Ing.

From 1980 on they were named 911 Turbo by Porsche Ing.
