Andial or Koklen Intercoolers???
I’ve always been a fan of Andial, but I’m seeing more and more of the Kokeln Intercoolers being used. Which is the better IC? Is there a hands down better unit? Or is this a topic that can be debated till’ the cows come home? You can’t call anyone who sells them and get a non-biased answer.
Thanks
R
P.S. i did try searching the fourm before posting, but searching is down now...

According to Kokeln's numbers there's would be more efficient. In the real world both would probably work just fine. At this point the RUF IC may be hard to purchase, haven't heard of anyone buying one for some time.
I have the Kokeln, works great and looks great.

BTW John. Glad to see you here from the 911 Turbo Board. That one has gotten a little too social/critical lately from where I started to look at it several years ago.

The Kokeln is about $1600-$1700 and includes all new parts including the newer blow of valve off the CT2. Not sure about Andial, but I'm sure it's more expensive, as they are proud of their stuff.

R,
The temp drops and pressure drops are real as tested in our shop. Any intercooler that runs in 88 degree heat is an upgrade over stock. It all becomes icing on the cake at that point. I have personally used almost all of them on my own cars. Lots of things to consider such as BOV change and overall fitment and size. Koklen has proven they are the real deal.

While we don't always agree, I'm with Stephen on this. I see huge drops between intake and out on the Kokeln. And here is how you dress it up http://www.my930.com/images/engine.gif

Allow me to add my voice to the chorus on the Kokeln. I upgraded my 79 930 from the stock intercooler to the Kokeln and added a K27-7200 just for fun. The team at ImagineAuto were great with their advice. The team at Norwood Autosports here in Dallas did the installation and my 930 goes like a bat (once it's warmed up and out of 2000 RPM!). It's great fun to get on the throttle and have your ears pinned to the back of your head every now and then!
