I have one from my 1986 ... No idea what it's worth, make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. Perfect condition btw, 20 k miles.

Please do not install the poor OEM intercooler, they are pieces of junk.
Best bang for your buck is the RarlyL8 intercooler which is a bolt on plug and play design with much better flow, efficiency and overall capabilities.
I have had four different intercoolers on my car so have done a fair bit of R&D in the 7+ years I have owned my car.

I would not consider anything about the design of the 930 as "poor". Aftermarket intercoolers certainly provide an advantage, but for a street car I'm not so sure. At the track, you're running full boost most of the time, so the benefits of a larger intercooler are more obvious. Whereas, on the street you may get a blast of full boost here and there, but nothing prolonged like the front & back straits at Sebring.

I disagree Dave. The OEM IC on the 930 was designed and built by a defunct fridge manufacturer and barely suitable for a moderate horsepower 4 cylinder engine much less a 6 cylinder engine with 300hp. Very undersized, I have done a fair bit of testing in the lab with them and several other intercoolers (B&B and two that I designed in AutoCAD) and the performanc of the OEM IC was the by far the worse for pressure drop and heat soak.

The coolest thing about the OEM IC that mostly people do not realize is the rhomboid core design, to increase cooling by creating a longer path for the air to travel and hence cool down on its path from inlet to outlet (thottle body).

OEM versus B&B:

The first one I designed (plug and play) in 2005 (left) versus B&B:

The B&B units are a fabulous upgrade, far superior to the RUF intercoolers as well.

Another intercooler option is my Fabspeed Motorsport USA long neck intercoolers.
I designed these intercoolers after the 1991 -1994 c2 turbo in as much as we eliminated all the o rings and use 4 ply silicone hoses for 100% positive leak proof sealing. Silicone heavy duty hose from turbo to intercooler inlet eliminates leaks there too.
Long neck eliminates whirled valve .

We even made a 1 piece hoseto eliminate beer stein contraption on the left. Our intercooler also has easily accessible ports underside to rebook up lines. For racers and super high horsepower engines included is a correct port for water/methanol injection.

I even included aluminum shrouding rubber gaskets to have a positive seal to the 930 911 turbo deck lid so incoming air does not simply take the path of least resistance and skip going through the core.

Videos and explanation are on the website

Have a great week!

I can attest that all the fabspeed 930 stuff fits and functions flawlessly. If i didn't already have an andial I would have the FS IC on my car.

My Fabspeed Motorsport 930 intercoolers were patterned after the Kokeln and I made significant updates to Dwain Dements original design after consulting with Dwain at Vision. I completed this innovative design in 2010. Virtually all intercoolers are just larger versions of Porsche 1970's design. Nothing has really changed since then.

Fabspeed Motorsport 930 Long neck intercooler design points:
First we added additional volume/capacity to the long neck intercooler over the Kokeln while allowing the A/C compressor to remain.
2nd we added water methanol injection port and simplified the hook-ups for boost under the intercooler in a straight easy to install logical pattern
3rd I designed a LEFT hand side RED 1 piece silicone pipe to eliminate the BEER stien and other contracptions that 930 owners must fabricate for long neck intercooler installation. Clean and fits great. This silicone tube will work with any and all 930 long neck intercoolers B&B, Andial etc.

4th the Biggets benefit was ELIMINATING all the 1940s style O-RINGS on both the inlet and outlet sides. O RINGS and machined receiver grooves are antiquated designs and leak both boost and oil. Each and every other single 930 intercooler still uses outdated O Rings. Fabspeed Motorsprts design is 100% positive leak prrof silicone with heavy duty hose clamps and a strong stainless steel installation bracket.

All boost pressure from the Turbo to the engine will remain constant and no maintenance or checking is required. I even included 4 ply silicone boost hose from the Turbocharger outlet (specify stock DLZ or K27) to the bottom inlet of the intercooler and a new 4 ply red intercooler hose from the interciooler outlet to the throttle body. Just clean everything up with Acetone or Brake cleaner and 100% sealed and NO more sloppy leaky O rings.

I have a VIDEO explaining everything and it is posted on my website.
