Question WTB: '79 930 Euro Version Muffler

Hi Folks,

I am looking for a used Bischoff muffler for a '79 930 Euro version (part number: 930.111.037.04).

Please let me know if you have one for sale or if you have any leads.

Thanks in advance.

Right, thanks, TOMDEG.

There is one 930 Euro Bischoff (factory) muffler, but from the '86-89 series.

Can you or someone else confirm that it will fit a '79 930, Euro version (the latter has no catalytic converter)? The Ebay seller could not confirm.

The part number for the '86-89 muffler is 930.111.038.06.

Thanks again,

Humberto-

According to Carlsen Porsche (in SF), there is actually no difference between the US and ROW muffler versions for a '79 930 (i.e., the part number is the same)...So, perhaps I should just change the thread title to "WTB: '79 930 Muffler".

Thanks,

Humberto-

What sort of exhaust system are you hooking it up to? I have a '79 930 that I had updated to later carrera heat exchangers. The muffler has two inputs, one for engine, other for turbo wastegate.

The '79 european cars already had the carrera heat exchangers and had a special pipe to connect the wastegate to the muffler. Pipe not available we went with the later wastegate muffler and welded shut the extra muffler input.

It would be a lot easier to just add a good aftermarket muffler.
