Default Opinions on this car?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I have a tentative agreement on this car, pending ppi.

Any thoughts on it? Price is only slightly above current ebay bid.

My dad is a car guy, he's into Porsches and MGs. I used to drive his 89 911 quite a bit, and always wanted another. The 930 was always my model of choice, but really only has gotten into my price range in the last year or so. Getting a nice one with lowish mileage for under 30k, basicly.

thanks,
reu

Seems like a good car for a good price. Mods appear tasteful, both to the motor and interior. I'm not a fan of the boxed rockers, but YMMV. Looks like a good deal on a low-mileage car.

Looks like it could be a nice car. Be sure to get a PPI from a tech that is very familiar with air cooled turbos.

Its a beaut. There are a few things that will make it a little less desirable to some as mentioned above, plus wheels and seats, but for the mods and miles it looks like a great deal, pending the PPI. It is also sad to see the prices start to fall on these icons.

Looks nice...except as already noted. That looks more like it has a BlownSix intercooler to me...looks like the AC is intact...and the interior is clean and well kept. It has some nice mods listed that would cost you a lot of money to duplicate. If the PPI is good......I like it.

Thanks for the replies, PPI is definately a must or no buy.

The car also comes with the original seats and wheels.

If in good condition, those are worth a couple grand, right there.

I see the car is in Huntington NY. I live here I would recommend Lynmor motorsports in huntington station a really reputable shop and all they do is porsches.

Also, if anyone knows of some similar cars from reputable people. I'd be interested in looking. We hit a snag on financing, they wanted me to put down less and finance more. So it's a bit up in the air.

What??? You hit a snag kuz they wanted you to put LESS down and finance MORE? I never heard of such a thing....did I read your post correctly? If you offer cash to the loan and they said no??? With all the folks walking away from financed deals I can't imagine a finance company turning down a sizeable down payment....that reduces their risk. Doesn't make sense.

Yes, I wouldn've paid a higher interest rate too, but they said they couldn't finance less then 50% of the purchase or something close to that.
