Hey Pete,

Is that a straight pipe or hollowed out muffler?

Rob,
I'll send you an e-mail. The amount of savings depends upon a few things.

jitters,

yes a full unsilenced straight pipe. comes off of the blower about 6 inches and does a 90 deg. bend and exits out of the stock provision.

looks sweet but is a bit tinny at idle...sure as hell wakes up at wot!!!

btw, the video does not characterize the loudness on the fly buy but i assure you it is LOUD!!

Sounds like the equivalent of the Zork pipe...I love it...

Rarlyl8 has a very nice dual setup that has a hollowed out muffler...looks awesome but I'm not sure how it sounds. I hope one day that I can find someone local who has a dual setup that I can hear prior to making a final decsion on which one I would purchase...

Have a great day Pete...

I use the expansion chamber dual exhaust on my personal car. Same sound as the stock outlet unit using the same expansion chamber. Loud but not obnoxious. Lots of great noises when you want them but pretty silent at steady highway speeds. You can really hear the K27 whiz. There are a few of them in California now.

I guess one of the things I'm looking to hear is the whine of the turbo, secondly, that gurgle on decelleration. I get that now with the Fabspeed but not as much as the Zork gives. Don't know what to expect from Rarlyl8.
The odd flame would be pretty cool too.

Brian is custom fabing a single outlet muffler unit that will have a Zork style exit (center). I already have a zork and his 934 style wastegate dump pipe mounted to the car but am anticipating running into some noise issues at certain race tracks here in the midwest. This custom one-off muffler will allow me to flip out the zork for the muffler can without having to swap the wastegate dump pipe as well.

BTW... you mentioned the odd flame in one of your later posts. My guess is that you are going to see quite a bit of flames with the zork. Mine blows flame regularly WITH a muffler on it at the track. Judging by the thumbs up that I was getting out on the highway a few months ago once I put the zork on I am guessing it is dumping fire out the back fairly regularly.

The stock exit muffler with no sound deadening material is a circus on wheels. Burbles, pops, whizz, cackle, and an occasional flame. You can stop it all at will with the push of the clutch. The addition of sound deadening material reduces the dB level but not the types of noises. The less sound deadening the better you hear the turbo. The stock muffler will even burble and pop on decel but no turbo whiz.

Anybody have a sound or video clip of a RarlyL8 performance muffler running on a car?

I read the rules and I think it is OK for me to post this picture. I did not originate this thread and my muffler does not compete with any sponsor that I am aware of. Pre-apologies if I am stepping over the line.

This is the muffler I am making for 930LDR. It is not yet polished.

My B&B muffler has split it's seems and it sounds great. I'm tempted to not fix it as long as the seams don't split any further apart and insulation starts oooozing out. LOL

Polished (brushed/satin finish) and put it together today. This will look cool with the 934 W/G pipe.
