Does anyone on this board live in NYC or outskirts of? Looking a perfectionist when it comes to body work and painting. Please recommend anyone you thing is just hands down outstanding.

Anyone know of any porsche forums geared more towards ny, ct, nj crowd?

1) Jim Newtown at Automobile Associates in Canton CT and 2) John Paterak in NJ (can't remember his shop name). They are the best so be prepared to spend some $s. Rick Deman in Nyack also does great work...not sure if he does it in-house or uses someone, as he is mainly a mechanic.

If you want the ultimate, fantastic concours job - John Paterek is your man. He's on Commerce St. in Chatham, NJ. Chatham is in North Jersey which is 30 miles or so from NYC. Paterek has been involved with the PCA since the beginning of time and has had many entries in Amelia Island, Greenwich and Pebble concours IIRC. A heck of a nice guy too. i know them very well but to get something done there you usually have to wait half a year and be in line. They are great people and I think they are amazing...especially his son who does a phenominal job detailing by hand.

Any others you can recommend? I just want to have alternatives in case time is an issue for me.

See...I learn something new every day! I just saw a 964 cup at Sebring that Rick had restored, and it was like new.
