How about the National Merit Scholarship Corp? I did a search on the most efficient charities, and they have a 99% efficiency rating. I like seeing the money I donate go toward the people I intend to help, not the executives running the thing.
This charity helps children (younger folks) and encourages excellence from those who receive its' scholarship grants. I think it's a good fit.

This is terrible news. I always enjoyed Chet and his contributions to the forum. Reminds me of when IceShark passed away a year or two ago in the 944 forum. People who gave more to Rennlist than they took.
Stephen Ill see you in Oxford so remind me about this and I will chip in and help.
Life is precious and can be taken away just like that. You have to feel for the kids over the last 24 months. Nobody should have to suffer such an ordeal.

Sad news.
As some have already said here, makes you think, appreciate what you have now...
I enjoyed reading Chet's posts. My best wishes to his friends and family.

I have just logged in to rennlist after a very long time and I'm astounded at the loss of Chet. I bought his 996TT from him in 06 and he was a great guy, a Gentlemen as all have said.

I never realized how many people fall to unforeseen and often cruel circumstances. I spend way too much time on these type forums and every couple months you hear about the passing of someone totally unexpected. Its things like this that force me to view life in a whole lot more cynical way. Three kids orphans. Just makes no sense.

I know that I'm late...but I want to say I'm sorry to hear about his passing. I just came across this board last week and going thru years worth getting as much info and learning about 930's (which I hope to own one day). Right around the last page (29?) I came across Chet's experience with EFI for his 930 and that's where I found out about his passing unexpectly.
