I mean if you didn't start with a early 60's VW bug, then how do you know what these cars are really about!
I mean really 23 or 25 or 29, and you buy a 930......spoiled I tell you, spoiled!!!!

Baby Boomers unite! When I was too young to appreciate a 930 (as in my mid-twenties) my focus was on babes and on sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll in general. I managed to get around the Vietnam war by going to college (you youngsters can read about that war or talk to some of the oldtimers lurking here, since most were still in diapers or just a gleam in your mother's eye back then). Minor things like accumulating wealth and owning a home (and not owing on a mortgage) kept me in moderate cars (MG's and an old 911T Targa) that I could afford to play with and learn on.

Then one day I saw my first 930 (I was probably an early teen) and waited until all my other life's priorities were in line and at 50 bought the 930. That was 6 years ago.

Hey Mark,
As a matter of fact, I was so much into girls, sex, drugs & rock-n-roll that I had a vasectomy at 21 just to be sure there were to be no suprises to spoil the fun! Now that's commitment to a cause!
It did help that I always had a fast car or bike to go along with the total irresposible social attitude. Although I was always gainfully employed and finacially moving forward, bought my first house at 24, which was young back then.
As a side note, my 930 is my 41st car that I've owned (still have 5 cars currently + 2 bikes).

Oh my God, that's prophylaxis to the max! The risks that young people take, playing Russian roulette with Chancroid, Chlamydia infection, Gonorrhea, Lymphogranuloma venereum, non gonococcal urethritis, Syphilis, Cytomegalovirus, Hepatitis B; Herpes /HSV, Human Immunodeficiency Virus, and/or Human Papilloma Virus....How did we ever survive to tell about it?

Currently, 6 cars, 4 bikes. You better catch up!

Just throwing out some scare tactics, guys. Never had any one of those nasty STD's. Just flashing out some what my education trained me in. Sometimes too much knowledge is too much, ya know?

Mark, I had a 1963 trailer once, that I lived in on my 40 acre mountain property (lived in, on weekends) when building my log cabin from scratch. But mine was only 12 feet long, so you got me there! And here smack dab in the middle of the state, anything older than 50 years succumbed to the desert sun long ago, so we all get stuck with relatively new construction. Now, my house in Illinois was a different story....

44 yrs old here......I've had my 930 nearly 3 yrs and put so much money into her that she's now sale proof. She'll also eat wrx's and scare the living daylights out of M's in a straight line.

25 here.

Oooops wait I'm dyslexic... um er uh that's 52 years young.

As a teen watching 911's race at Hockenheim & the 'ring in the early 70's I was hooked. Bought my 1st 911 in '84 and been competing with it ever since (slalom, time trial, club racing). Got my 1st turbo in '08 and she's a never ending work in progress to be my ultimate street rod.

I do have to give it to you older guys for sticking with the harsh and brute original supercar...sometimes she's too much for me to deal with but for ya'll to still be so enthralled and in love with the car really blows me away.

I would have given anything to be alive during the IMSA days - to watch the 935's thunder in dominance - but we youngens def. have something to learn from you guys, which in my mind is that dreams are only dreams if you plan to make them a reality.

Bravo guys, bravo
