What is green wire on side of distributor?

What is the green wire for that plugs into the side of the distributor?

Can't remember if it's to the coil or CDI Box? Or neither for that matter...I'm just thinking out loud, here...

It's got to be the CDI Box. I don't remember a connection to the coil involving that green wire.

I believe that's the distributor pulse signal to the CDI. The green wire should be available by itself.

Its the trigger wire from the magnetic pick up in the distributor. It goes to the CDI.

thx. ...i have MDS ignition so it must somehow be going to that.

Remember that it's not really a wire but a cable with two cores.

yea, found the coax part out the hard way! it's pain to get at the plug and remove with everything intact so i figued while i did rebuild i'd just split wire and put connector in. ...now it has two connectors each end.
