Jim, from the pics and the deep offset, it looks like you need to completely remove the spacer, not a big deal, just more stud to cut.

Engine is off the stand finally. All the wiring except the coils is finished. Today we have mounted the flywheel and we will have the clutch and transmission mounted today. Hopefully the engine will be back in the car this weekend or first of the week. Here are some pictures of my slightly rigged setup

Congrats on your 930 purchase. Regarding suspension mods - I highly recommend you get rides in other 930's (or even similar weight torsion bar 911's) with various levels of suspension mods if at all possible before you make a decision. You may find that passengers and perhaps yourself will not appreciate too stiff a suspension on the street and potentially ruin the enjoyment. IMHO - Bilstein sport shocks and 21/28mm torsion bars are a reasonable mod that most people have found streetable and yet much improved over stock for the ocassional DE event. A competition suspension setup is meant for smoother track surfaces than typically found in our civilian roads. Unless you plan to really push the car hard and get serious about your track time, I'd leave the bushings alone and not go much stiffer. With this said, I absolutely recommend adjustable sway bars though. Again, not oversized, but this will allow you to dial in your critical F/R balance behavior. All IMHO of course. Cheers!

The engine is in! Everything fits well except for the filter/intake assembly. The motor mount folds the silicone elbow too much for it to work properly. Now we're looking at going back to the stock pipe to clear the mount, but it's smaller than the turbo inlet, so I'm not sure if it will be efficient.

Anyway, the I/C clears well initially which is a relief.

I've seen pics of that pipe entering through from the inner wheel arch.

If you didn't want to do that I wonder if you would consider getting your tranny bellhousing shortened so you could move the engine further into the car. You would need to have the input shaft taken out of the tranny and possibly built up as well as shortened. You could also find out how much distance you could gain from this. Maybe it is not much, not sure.

I'm trying for 525 at the crank, but I know that's pretty optimistic. If I have over 450 at the crank I'll be happy. Not sure what to expect with the torque figure.
