Hello, all, new to the rennlist and on my second 911. Just bought a 1989 Jubilee edition with a prototech modded engine (stage II) and I'm looking get some decent seats and harness for track days, PCA DE events, etc. Any suggestions on what to use with out tering up the interior?
In addition, anyone have a parts list for what Dave does to the 3.2 with a stage II upgrade? It was just dyno'd at 515 rwhp.
TIA

I need to get a real membership here to post photos. So far all I can get up is the avatar shown above. More to come. By the way, my TIA meant "Thanks in Advance" (lol).

Congrats! 515whp....WOW!
Was this the car that was on eBay recently? As I was watching a Jubilee edition car about week or so ago?

Yup that';s the one. I spoke with Dave at Prototech about the car and found that the cost of the car was less than the cost of just the engine mod on my curreent car. Rebuilt tranny, AC, suspension mods, interior, etc. Everything but brakes, so I know where my next spare $3k is going. Prototech did a tune uop on it recently as well as a leak down (all good).

Tom:
Congratulations.
I am wondering what that list looks like too - 515rwhp out of a 3.2 is pretty amazing. Do you have the dyno graphs - if you can digitize them, I'll post for you.
I would suggest getting a membership - it's cheap and it supports the best p-car site on the internet.

Thanks for the responses, the ebay link above is correct. I will have a dyno sheet and the results of the leak-down test soon. When I spoke with Dave at Prototech he was very positive on the car and had just completed a "tune-up" that included oil change, plugs, leak-down, and replaced a few bulbs, replaced athe air flow meter, and plug wires.
As an aside, he was very straight forward on his assessment of the car, "It is what it is" kind of approach, saying that there are not a lot of folks willing to pay a premium for a narrow body Carrera with that kind of modifications. According to him, the car had a new interior including leather and carpet, stage II engine work, replaced the suspension, loweded and correctly aligned the car, and rebuilt the drive train (including axles, tranny rebuild, etc.).
Clearly if it were a legit 930 car (brakes, suspension, wheels, flares, etc.) it would have commanded a much higher price, but even a nice stock 1989 930 is out of my price range right now. From what I've seen in the market right now, a nice clean 1989 Anniversary Edition Carrera will bring $20-$25k and I did not pay a whole lot more than that for this one. PLus it's silver and I'm a sucker for silver Porsches.

Hmmm, after thinking about my last post, maybe I should convert it to a wide body and do the Big Red brake package. Add an oil cooler up front and it would be one hell of a track day car.

Except, I would have an extra 200hp and I can do it at any point in the future. Plus upgrades tend to come in under the radar screen with the spouse. ;-)
