just bought a prototech modded 911

I would keep it narrow body. Ruf built some of there fastest on the narrow body.
And it keeps the spirit of the car alive. Kinda a sleeper... you might surprise one or two of us from time to time :-)

There are a lot of us on here with modded 930's, so you won't have 200 more hp then most of us, but you will have more aero drag, more weight, and an oil cooler you really don't need if you properly duct your factory carrera cooler. Your car looks absolutely stunning the way it is. a very proper Porsche. On second thought Ruf CTR bumpers might look good... Do get brakes though, the stockers are junk with over 400hp, trust me. If you want to keep your stock 16 fuchs Steve at rennsport systems just filled me in on the brembo gtp "L" kit....It's on my parts list in the near future. best of luck and keep us updated.

Steve,
Switch to the big reds, good worthwhile upgrade. On the wide body, it all depends what your looking for. To me the wide body is just soooo sweet, especially viewed from the rear, nice fat rear fenders. But than again, yes it will add drag. So weigh the pros and cons and ask yourself what you want more. With the power you have, I'd go with the wide body. Yes it will add drag, but hey your not going for a top speed run are you? Than you might as well get rid of your AC. strip out your interior etc etc

Steve...I love your avatar (of course).
Sameer....I am planning on tracking the car for fun and to see what it can do in "street trim" kepinf the AC, nice sound system, and other street amenities. If I start to road race again (planning on it) I think I'll go the 944 Turbo route and get one someone else has already built. Like this car, the first guy to mod it did the work and spent the $$, maybe I can find a decent track day 944 for $10-$12k.
Pete..I love that yellow! My 200hp comment was not meant to flame the 930's here in any way. I'm here because so many here have modded their cars and done the research I'm just starting. I've decided the car will stay narrow body, and I'll be in touch with Steve about brakes next spring. Looks like excellent brakes installed will run me about $6k. I already discussed it with Dave Hart at Prototech, he has a pretty trick system for the narrow body cars that it under my Fuchs that I will also consider. He is installing a front oil cooler, with lines that split off the stock one ("Y" splitters, not in sequence), installing a front spoiler and ducting for brake cooling. I'd do the brakes now but I spent my wad on the car. I can't wait for this car to get here!
Baja...I really glad you missed this one...lol. I totally stumbled into it. I was looking for a 2000-2001 C4 to replace both my A8 and my '77 911S. This one allowed me to keep the A8 and keep the classic 911 look and still get some hp. I actually looked into making my '77 a track car but that was some serious $$.
