Hi Guys:
Proto Tech is owned by David Hart. They are the guys that built the drivetrain in my Strosek and perfromed a number of other upgrades. They also use the large Protomotive Intercooler that is used on my car. It's supposed to be 93% efficient (I guess that means it has an approach temperature of 93% of ambient). What a coincidence that you are discussing them. I am happy with the work they did.
By the way Sameer, I figured out what the shifting problem was with my car. I'm putting together a photo record of the work and will post it sometime this weekend. A very interesting situation and it wasn't the tranny (thank god)!
Take care!

It seems like we have the same engine. Is yours pressure sensing or MAF? My car showed 705hp at 1.1Bar on the engine dyno. I am detuning it to 0.8 Bar soon. It is running perfectly, not a glitch. We could have had more peak hp easily but it was not the objective, longevity was the main objective and a street/track car, not a quartermiler.
I would talk to Todd Knighton @ Protomotive concerning your Motronic programming, which seems to be the issue. BTW they also included Carillo Rods, and the cylinders are Mahle OEM, Upgraded oil pump and you can have work done on the case to improve air flow.

tjn,
Thanks for the lead top the descriptions of the stages. I did not realize the intake graphic on the protomotive site was a link to the detail on the stages.
It looks like my car has a stage II 1.0 bar package. This would put the hp between the 485hp of a .8 bar stage II and the stage III at 545. We'll see from the dyno soon enough!

What an interesting article. I now know for sure that I'm a total car geek, as I reead every paragraph in that article and I realize we know very little about the flow through or heads (the engien ones). Thanks for the link.
