New addition to the family
So I just picked up a 1970 Porsche 911T and I'm torn. Do I restore the car to 100% stock or do I put the RS front bumper and singer rear and widen the rear fenders?
I know the true enthusiast will say leave it alone.
But I truly LOVE the Singer Porsches and this is a close as I will get to owning one...
Please Don't bash me to much.

Here is my Philosophy,
1.) If the car has the matching engine and transmission then you are compelled to return it to stock color and body according to the car guys bible..
2.) If the car is missing the original engine and transmission then it is free game for color change and body work. (Unless the car is extremely rare).
If your car is indeed matching numbers, then you can always restore it and add a few simple things to hot rod it that can be reverted back to stock fairly easy.
Play with the exhaust, brakes, Add the S front bumper, install speedster type seats, R door panels, prototypo steering wheel, wevo shifter, upgrade suspension.....

All original 1970, numbers matching, original metal, original interior, 911T in grand prix white...
From what I've read on hagerty new the T (carb) models are becoming more sought after. I originally wanted an S, but got a deal on this one.
I know, Can't touch it...
Can I lower it and put loud exhaust and at least drive it and enjoy it?

My fav colour, yes mods that can be reversed are ok and maybe even deemed desirable ... You got it so might as well enjoy the heck out of it till that mod itch needs scratching.

Your car looks really straight. I'd sure think about leaving it stock or at least keep your mods in the bolt on department. What kind of condition is the car rust wise? Was the glass removed for a repaint that never happened?

Restore the car but add your desired upgrades. (that are reverseable)
Lower the sucker on deep 6 Fuchs and add a twin tip exhaust.
Mechanical fuel injection.
Fancy seats, RS door panels and Prototipo steering wheel.
Put all the stock stuff in boxes and mothball it for the next guy.
My 1969 is not numbers matching but will be period correct:

you don't need a loud exhaust , that's for posers that crave attention , you drive a nice Porsche , that will get you all the attention you can handle.. and the right kind too. .

Yes, it is very straight and only has rust in the floorboard. Some small areas that I will cut out and weld in new ones. I've done multiple mustang restorations so this shouldn't be hard except for finding the parts. The only things I really want to change are the bumpers and wheels. I like the bumpers without the bumperettes. When I say loud exhaust I don't mean obnoxious loud like my 997, but something with a tone. I don't like it when they sound just like a bettle. As far as wheels go, I have my eyes on a set of 16x7/16x8 BBS rs wheels in gold mesh. I have all the glass and all the interior. The interior is in excellent shape too.

I would suggest to limit yourself to a tasteful and subtle mod. Like this car for example

I don't think I will mess with the body and interior of this car. Just wheels and suspension...
