Default just got my 84 carrera targa home...

well, finally have a targa, 1984, been searching awhile and now i can get started getting her 'right'...can anyone tell me, is it possible to get an options list/build sheet for the car with the VIN, like one can do with the newer cars...? thanks in advance, and any information will be greatly appreciated, a couple of pics are in order...
ahh, another Q, could someone tell or show me what is the original steering wheel that came with the car, it was built 11/83, i have seen a number of different wheels, and really like a couple of the momo styles, but will probably try to keep her original, and i know what is in there now is not...

Does it have a sticker on the front boot with option codes as Is the case on later models such as G50 3.2 & 964?

Many report that the Certs of Auth that PCNA sends out these days aren't very accurate, and sometimes erroneous.

Congrats on the new car.

kkswow12: My COA was correct (no errors). Study yours very closely, however, to ensure no errors exist.

Aside, do post your VIN, int/ext codes, etc. Plenty of references out there to start the dig!

Best,

Doyle

Notice, the operative term I used was "these days".

People have noted errors in the COA's from "those days" (as well). Not really sure when they started to become erroneous, nor sure when they were (once) accurate.

kkswow12: just be sure to double-check yours and post your data. Many here will help you "cut through the chase"

Best

Doyle

The fact is the records are somewhat sketchy, and the people who knew how to interpret are few and far between.
