Default Sunroof Delete

Has anyone done a sunroof delete project, and would be willing to share its steps, positive and negative experiences?

Pictures will be great.

Thank you!

Rodrigo.

This is not something for the novice bodyman or the faint of heart, I had the procedure at least one
means of doing so and it was very involved.
the first time I had it done we removed the entire roof panel by curling the drip rails back and removing the welds refitting a non sunroof panel rewelding..
the second time different car my body guy has obtained an English wheel which will allow him to
introduce a compound curve into a piece of stock sheet that can be cut and welded into the void..

Fred no longer frequents rennlist. Sean F was very much involved with the project. He post on the racing forum on a regular basis.

BOLA964.

Why do you want to do a "sunroof delete" option?

There are several ways to do it
best is what Cupcar did on his 993, buy a factory roof

weld it on

Paint to taste

or since all the roofs from '69 to 98 from ant 911 are the same use a roof from a donor car, they are galvanized from '77, I used an '80s SC roof on mine

or Fenn Lane has a very nice hand ,made weld in panel that was used in onee of the previous replies.

or any of the f/g and c/f replicas
