Default Should i stick with the original colour?

Hello Again

I have now bought a 1970 2.2 911t imported from California, it is now ready for paintwork, the original colour was Burgundy but i wanted to do it Grey like the Steve McQueen Porsche 911 S.

Monday is decision day and i would like some input from you guy's please.

Regards

Jeff

If the car is original and has matching numbers I would keep the original color. Burgundy Porsches are nice .

Vs. Burgundy, I personally would go any other color.

When you say Grey is that what we would think of as Silver, or am I just an idiot?

Love Silver Porsches.

My way of thinking was if i chose a 70's colour that came from a famous car perhaps the price (assuming i wanted to sell) wouldnt be affected, if it doesn't get affected too much then i may consider it.

I really am in a pickle now :-(

Depends on what you mean by burgundy. If it is actually aubergine, rare but gorgeous on early 911s, I'd stick with that.

Burgundy. It's original and beautiful.

Or I suppose you could choose gray/silver/beige like a Toyota-driving soccer mom.

I have made my mind up and I've decided to stick to it's original Burgundy colour, i think that if i went for the Grey even though it is an amazing colour it would give me an excuse to start modding the car and that is something i didn't want to do and since stock/ original cars are hard to come by these days it should be a fairly good car.

I hope you guys forgive me but my mind is made up, thank you for your help it is greatly appreciated.
