wondered where you got that figure is all.....I understand a weight to hp gain but not the direct weight to elapsed time in 1/4 mile as you've described.....many more factors involved there so don't quite buy that....but a .5 to .7 dif in a 1/4 mile is quite a big deal.
However, I don't drag race a P car...but throwing 200- 400 xtra lbs around a twisty course might get you a bit better than your drag race figure but again, many variables.
In these generally small displacment/hp models every lb counts.

All I know is that my boss loves mine in it's current state. He's owned 911's since '76 and currently owns an '05 Carrera so he knows the breed. Yesterday I tossed him the keys and let him take us for a ride. By the time we were at the end of the cul-de-sac he was grinning from ear to ear. By the time we were back at the office he was ecstatic and wanted to know how soon we could trade cars for a weekend. Not a bad compliment in and of it's self. He couldn't believe the front end. He had driven it last spring before all the work and didn't really have anything to say. This time he walked right back over to my desk and wanted me to drive him around. No destination, just drive. To me that's a strong endorsement of the shocks, tie rods, and ride height. ....and he loved the MOMO.

Great, nice to have your 'vision' appreciated.
Everyone has an idea for their car. I like light/nimble and the old RS look. Don't know how serious I'll get about lightening the car (bumpers etc.) but I really enjoy the process.
Not going to eat any Turkey today so I stay at my 168 lbs....not.

Wow, that's 1807.79 pounds!

Think it's got the 3.0L in it? That would be one one heck of a blast to drive.

Very nice.
But he's only 1.2 sec faster in the 1/4 mile...I'll keep my AC, butt warmer and cup holder/fuzzy dice.

RS bumper is now veneziablau metalic.

Ready for wet sanding of a small flaw 'cause I ain't as young as I used to be.

(color match is much better in person. Won't know until it's got clear and is on the car.)

I'll get the weight of the new one in the morning. I'm hoping that the rumor is correct that the two bumperettes are right at 15lbs for the pair. That equates to more that one horsepower.

.....and another weight saver mod I did today just for the sick sound of induction was to drill a couple of 3" dia holes in my airbox lid. Absolutely intoxicating sound

Took out the windshield washer reservoir tonight. Sucker was full of soapy water.

I've not got a clue what to do to spray the windshield and haven't tried in six years, so it's out of there. (I think the thing to do would be replaced it with a small liter size bottle at some point.)

Had to take the cut off wheel to the A/C dryer to finally get that out.

I left the washer 'tank' in place but with about 6 oz of fluid...may take it out later. Wouldn't think you'd have to cut that out in a Cali car. So far everything on mine has just unbolted (knock wood).

I cut the straps on the dryer because the screws on the clamps were just spinning in place.

I have an Ohio car. Ohio State University to be exact. Original owner was a professor there. He brought it to California when he retired a few months before I found it. It has lots of evidence of salted roads and year round driving.

All the cali cars I looked at were just thrashed. Sun faded rubber, carpets were badly aged, leather was dry, smoker smell, just trashed and used up. Mine was much nicer all around, but shows corrosion on bare metal surfaces like fasteners underneath.

Anyway, rockers are next.
