Oh, I forgot about the iron pots. I wonder if it would be that much of a dif but erring on the safe side is not a bad technique.
I've a euro 930-10 SC motor with 9.8-1 compression and was worried about heat, especially in Az but it has been exactly the opposite. It runs cool even in 107 degree ambient (yesterday) ...if I 'get on it' it may get to 210. I suspect I'll have to block off my front air scoop when it cools off to get to a proper temperature.
I do appreciate your heat sink idea, nice fabrication and interesting approach.
Let us know what the dyno says when you get to it.

Sharing some final pics from the driving season... it's stored until spring now. Didn't make it to the dyno as I was traveling out West for the month of October and the weekends slipped away upon my return.
