Default rennshift problem

Hi guys

I already posted this on PelicanParts, but I'm not really getting any answers (at all ).

I'm having some trouble getting my rennshift to shift properly.

Installed the rennshift with the L bracket IN the tunnel as per the guidelines. Even though it forces the bracket under an angle in which it starts binding with the shifter bar. That BTW was the first issue which I solved by adding some washers above the 6 mm holes.
EDIT: I found out that the spacer that's normally glued to the bottom of the shifter is missing.

Now I have another problem. It seems the bar that goes to the gearbox is rubbing against a bracket on the bottom of the tunnel. This happens as soon as I connect the bar to the Stomski coupler. As long as I do not connect the coupler, everything seems to be moving smoothly.

Any ideas would be great! This has kept me busy all (yester)day...

Sounds like you need support from the manufacturer of your pieces.
I would put it all back to stock and go from there

Well, that's a great suggestion. The sad part is that I do not have the original parts anymore. I installed the Rennshift in 2008 for the first time. Since the spacer was missing (and I didn't know that) I installed it wrong, but it worked (not perfect but quite well). Now my 915 has been rebuild and everything is tighter the workaround does not work anymore.

No problem iceman! I'm already talking to James West of JWest engineering.

I was just wondering whether anybody else has had a simular problem (bar hitting the bottom of the tunnel while shifting).

He's the one who will be able to help.

Good news! The tunnel rubbing issue has been fixed by using washers as spacers while I await the delivery of the original spacer (thx to JWest).

The other thing I was struggling with was the fact that when I connected the shifter rod to the tranny, nothing seemed to work anymore. Well, I called the guy who did the rebuild on my transmission (reputable) and he laughed a bit...

He said: 'ofcourse it's not going to shift'. You need to start the engine first so that everything gets lubricated properly.

Well, I guess I can go on from here...
