Default Baby seats for 86 Carrera??

So there are no tether hooks in the back of the 86 Carrera rear seats, my 3 year old is in a forward facing car seat. How do I install it safely in the back, or is it even possible?

I have kids and I wish I had an answer for you. I have considered buying a forward facing seat that can use seatbelts to hook in the fromt seat, still the issue of the tether strap remains.

Nice car by the way, I believe it was one of the ones I was considering when I was in the process of buying mine.

I think I can use the lap belt to hold the seat instead of the tether hooks, will investigate further.

Really? So what did you get?

I retrofitted 3 pt seat belts into my 86 carrera. First used 993 belts them replaced them with a set from pep parts. Not sure if they are in business anymore, but here is my link:

Replaced the rear-three points not long ago. Got my replacement belts from DC Auto. 964 belts will work too.
In the descriptions I found here and on Pelican there is no mention of an additional bracket that holds the backs of the reels. When I recently replaced frayed rear three-point belts on my '88 Targa i found that in addition to the bolts securing the reels the reels slipped under a bracket attached further towards the rear of the car. Wish I took a picture.
One other observation is that when you get the reels they will be locked and seem like there is no possible orientation you can put them in that will unlock them. Fortunately, once installed they unlock - you just have to believe...

No 3pt belt, no kid in the car.
My 5 year old daughter has to slum it in the 996. That at least has the 3 point belts and a top latch.

I'm not old enough to have a kid, but if I were, I'd not be strapping them into the back seat of a 911, with all of the morons in Expeditions and such, texting away.

I let mine sit up front (in all but the boxster)... Factory 3pt belt holds in either carseat or child. Without an airbag, its a non-issue.

This; an '84 ROW originally sold in Switzerland. No options save for the sunroof which I'd have done without if I could have chosen. Strangely the original owner opted for Pacific Blue Metalic which was not offered on '84s and had to be ordered from sample. Didn't want leather seats or Fuchs though.

That's not me in the driver's seat (lol) the little man drove in mommy's car and then wanted to play in mine.

Lots of little issues like paint chips, tear in the seat etc., but seems to run well and is a lot of fun.
