I am Looking at a 50k mile 1986 911 Turbo Look cab. Vin decoder shows as it sits currently - full special leather Blk/Blk/Can-Can red interior, Black exterior, short shift, power sport seats, cruise, central locking. 2-owner car with all records and everything works as it should. Now the fun - the original owner sent the car to Blackburn and Daly in Illinois and put a steel slantnose front fenders and a rsr front spoiler , Wheels have been changed to chrome turbo twists with spacers. Books will tell me assumed values but I prefer the Porsche communities opinion.

Where in the world are all these slant conversions coming out of the woodwork from lately?
Ultimately worth whatever you are willing to pay, there's a couple of recent discussions on your exact dilemma. End result, (assuming it's in very nice shape and good mechanicals) between $15-20k±

There was thread here this week discussing the merits of keeping a car stock in terms of collectible values. Many pointed out that these cars are not collectible, in general, and it was more important to have fun with it (and I agree).
However, this is one car where that particular discussion is relevant IMO. A factory turbo-look with a factory slant-nose and 50K mileage would be a pretty valuable car. The non-factory conversion (no matter how well done) does diminish the value quite a bit. I think the aforesaid $15 - $20K range is pretty good starting point.
If that car had been left with the original nose, then it could be a $25K+ car (depending on condition of course).

FWIW. I sold a factory turbo look cab, white with blue top & interior, with white Fuchs for 32 K in 2002. it was a clean 50K mileage car. IMHO, the slant REALLY detracts from the value & are you sure it's factory turbo look?

Vin decoder shows it came from the factory as a turbo look cab. I don't think it will ever be a collectors item due to the changes and the mileage but I don't want a car that is a garage paperweight , I just look for cars I like. I have seen these cars all over the board with 50k miles ( 16k to 50k ) . Just looking for honest opinions and value from the rennlist public. I remember my Dad trying to decide between a 911 turbo look cab and a Saab 900 turbo cab ( 1st year ) back in 1986 , I still admonish him to this day on his choice.

I sold mine, (also an 86, i.e.: no G50, but ..no catalyc converter) I think in 2006, for around 28k, if I have good memory.
It had around 76k km, or 48k miles:

(Bought it from Lukas Hüni in Zürich with about 8k miles)
I had it for long time, and enjoy it more than very much.
The inside was a bit “heavy”, I always wanted to remove the wood, but never had the gut to do it !

Beside the wood, this was not a vegan car, it had leather all around the place, Even the top cover was in leather. I have no idea how many cows… !

It was a fantastic car.
Note : I tried many time to know how many Carrera 3.2 Cab with T.L. option have been produced, but never got that number.
I suppose it is in the ballpark of 1'000 units, so it is a kind of "semi rare" Porsche.
