My build 76 911 Cabriolet turbo
I have given it some thought and wanted to see if there would be any intrest in seeing my build history as well as the upcoming finish. The rist is where I started, the first restoration in 92, and where it is today.

I have this build posted on Pelican but in light of some recent comments to me I have decided to pretty much close the other thread and possibly delete it and start a new thread here if there is intrest. So what do you say?

Really only a couple directed at me but the way the tech forum is going by the way of the off topic forum and people are getting flamed for anything that isn't on an rs or involved with backdating to a longhood. I feel like I am using up Wayne's server space for nothing I don't get much in the way of comments or even constructive criticism don't get me wrong there are some good people on pelican and some have helped me alot but it is almost like talking to yourself in a mirror. I want to thank those that did comment and hope they follow the build as I finish but I dont think I will post much on pelican anymore, I don't want to wonder if I am going to get flamed for posting something. You wont find much on there from this because when I get flamed or get an ungrateful comment when offering help I usually just delete my post Well enough of that over the next few days I will post some more, so see how you like them.

Mr. SMITH you have found a home at Rennlist. We are a bunch of unfit questionheads that will be more than willing to see what you are doing without a dingle harsh word... As the proud owner of a 99% stock blue cab, I'd love to see what you have done.
Have fun here, We do.

Yeah definitely started out life as a TArga , and now the first pic makes sense ,. there is no engine in it ,,, my first comment was gonna be about that funky looking back end
So it started out life as what exactly ? a 2.7 S ? and you put a 3.2 in it and added the turbo and widebody ? and put in a cab top and took out the Targa? gees that's a lot of work .. you must love this stuff.

Its a long story! The tub is a 78 SC but the title was tied up in court so we retitled it as 76 (all was legal) that had a clear title at the same time it had a bunch of inspections by the DMV and the police dept. while it was being built I also bought a 79 930 that also had a title tied up in court and that is where all the 930 stuff came from it is a 2.7 motor with a 3.2 intake and the turbo. This motor is a test bed to bigger and better things a 3.2 with the turbo and lots of power.

Some of the projects done:
Paint, remove bumperettes, Convert to cabriolet, upgrade to later ATO fuses, Turbo, EFI, Weld in chassis stiffening, 993 rear seats, changed dash lights to brighter 5watt lights.
Coming up:
sound deadening, new carpet/interior, programmable MSD ignition and a bunch of little projects.

oh well , just use irfanview to reduce the quality and size , delte your previous pics and add new ones as you go . reducing the size and res will really let you load a lot of pics.
