Great write up Ian, thanks! I may or may not choose the option that you did. Either way though, I appreciate you providing so much information in one place.

I noticed a power increase as well, after I replaced my fuel lines. But I also had changed the fuel pressure regulator, cleaned out the ICV, changed all the sensors and clutch...so I wasn't sure what caused it.
What could be the reason(s) for a power increase after changing fuel lines? It's not like the lines were blocked, and pressure is pretty much the same at 37psi.

Mine seems a bit more responsive since changing out everything in the rear...then getting new hoses up front (just to the tunnel, that it) with a new fuel pump.
I've not messed with the regulator....mmm?

Yup, changed all of those those too. But about 4 months prior, I totally went through it and checked for vacuum leaks and did a tuneup for a smog test. And the car was running as well as I could get it to run. It positively screams now.

getting ready to dive into replacing the fuel lines on my 911.
last winter, did the 928. cringed as I cranked her over, but she fired right up. hope for the same result with the 911.
