My 89 Coupe on the market
Funny, I've owned the car for a shorter period than I spend looking for it, but it's gotta go. I'm in the process of relocating from PA to Richmond VA and somehow, I lost all the cards so I'll be forced to live in an apartment until things settle down or, worst case, I rebuild my liquid assets that all appear to be her's now.
In any case, I either have to find a place to store the car, leave it in storage at what appears to be her house now, or sell it. The first two options are in no way appealing so I'm going with door number three, Wink.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, I know you were over the top excited when you finally decided on a car. Hope springs eternal and thats the selling season. The good thing is there are always cars on the market so when you get your feet back on the ground you can find another. Its a nice car lets hope the market treats you well.

When getting a divorce, you really don't know how you are going to feel in six months. When it's all over, and the weather is nice, you may find out that you want that car.
If you don't have to sell it, why not store it for a brighter day ? Divorces are no fun. You have my sympathy.

I won't go into details but, unless something changes, all of the liquid we have is locked up and she has the key. This means that, with my relocation, the car has to stay here while I live in an apartment 200 miles away with no place to keep the 911 (and I won't let it sit outside).
Something would need to modify the above situation for me to be able to drive it in the nicer weather. The positive is that I make enough to pull a nice downpayment together in about a year; about that time, the gates should open on what I get out of the assets. Then I buy another one. Of course, it took me 6 months to find and close the deal on this one
If it doesn't sell for what I want, it'll stay where it is and I'll grab it once I buy another house.

why dont you drive your 911 for 6 months... make it your DD. put your current DD in her garage or just have two cars outside... sitting her outside for 6 months wont hurt her... then you can look at where you are and make a decision going forward...
good luck with whatever you decide...

If it were a 100k mile car, I wouldn't have an issue with making it my DD.
However, it's in excellent condition and I'd like to keep it that way. Part of me feels I owe it to the community to keep the car in its current condition. I see what's happening to my Lexus, after a month without a garage plus driving in all conditions. I wanted a really nice Carrera and I have one. If I can't keep it nice or drive it when I want, it needs to go. There will be others in the future.
She is not forcing me to remove the car so, if I don't sell it, worst case, it mostly sits for a year.

I owe it to myself not to depreciate the heck out of the thing by putting another 10k miles on it. I didn't exactly steal the car so I'd like to protect my investment.
