Thanks so much. I recognize a few names here and I definitely recognize that Targa Ed. I've seen you on the PP forums. Whenever I see that car it makes me think to myself "I really DO like Targas".

That Martini-liveried 917 is an outstanding piece of work. I can literally feel the patina of the race mileage!

Tremendous talent you have there!

Well thank you back! Yes, you've seen her on PP. I tend to stick around here more these days-a little slower pace. Your talent is superb, and I love your choice of subjects!

I would love to know if I can buy an unframed 917 print, and how much, where to buy one, etc. I have a thing for the 917, as well as the 917-30.

Sent you a pm, but the short answer is "Yes you can" they are 150.00 and 10 shipping. There are only 100 prints worldwide all signed and numbered. Printed on very thick heavy weight velvet finish paper. Feels/looks just like the original watercolor paper. Really nice. Hereis a print on top of the original:

Your work is tremendous, can you tell us a bit more about the paintings [size, materials]? Would love to see more of your work...

Geez everybody...all I can keep saying is "Thanks". Makes me feel pretty good. You artsy types will know that you never really think your stuff is "that" great and I still think they could always look better.
Ferdie, I mainly paint in watercolors, but am probably going to be starting a larger oil painting in a few days. The 917 print that I have is about 14x18, with the image being 12 x 16. Fits a 20x24 frame perfectly when matted. It was painted on cold press Arches, acid free watercolor board. The prints are printed on acid free velvet finish rag that is very close to a 300# cold press watercolor paper. It's amazing. I was truly amazed at the quality. Sitting side by side, you'd be very hard pressed to tell the difference between the original and the print. I'm selling them for $150.00 plus $10 for shipping in the continental US. You can PM me or send me an e-mail at tmsautoart@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

Jeez, sorry I'm being a pain. Is there a link to see the collection? I'm trying to decide which one I want. I like the 3/4 view most, but it doesn't show the whole car.

Thanks! Sorry for asking so many questions.

no problem. I can help narrow down your choices as the only prints I have are the ones of the front view. 99% of my stuff prior to the 917 were commissions that never had any prints made. The side view of the 917 was sold to a collector without having prints made but got so much attention and demand for prints that I decided to do another, the front view, and have prints made. So not only are the prints rare (only 100), but they are the first prints ever made of my artwork.

Hopefully a Martini liveried RSR is in my near future! Here is my short list of Porsches I would love to paint:
1. really any RSR
2. Brumos 935
3. Brumos 911 GT3
4. 906
5. 73 Carrera RS
6. a really early 911 '64 or so (like Seinfelds, God I would love to paint that car)
7. 908
8. 962
I'm sure this list could go on and on.

ME TOO.

All kidding aside, a GT40 is one of the sexiest cars of all time if I may say so.
