Wow, Great work, I noticed you have a GLH. That was one of my first cars, 86 GLHS.

Cheers,

GLHS is a great car. An 85 GLH was my firt car in 88 and the GLH Turbo was my 2nd car in 91 or so. Still have it....

Thanks to all for the compliments on the artwork!

A belated welcome. Birdcage is beautiful...I had met Bob S. a few times and felt I was in the presence of greatness.
Soft spot for VWs; me too. In the past, several type 1s, 86 GTI, 88 Scirrocco16V, 90 G60 Corrodo (bought new). The aircooled(VW) cars are special and a perfect segeway into 911s. They share so much spirit; to love one and not the other is impossible. I have an 87 924S that honestly was bought as a light track/ DD as an alternative to a watercooled VW. Power steering, AC, the pointy "nipple" gauges are all very close in my mind to the utility/ fun factor of a Scirrocco.

Your artwork is incredible, I'm an amateur photobug and feel like I have an ok eye for composition...... but someone that can see those minute nuances of color and detail and translate that by hand to a canvas is just awesome....

Have you gotten anywhere w/ the SC?

Thank you very much! Yes, Bob S. was a cool guy.
You and I obviously have stellar taste in automobiles! I've always wanted to get a 924S and turn it into a lightweight Carrera GTS look-a-like.
Nice avatar pic. I have many photos I have taken of that 917.

Maybe someone here can help me. I want to post the prints of the 917 front view up for sale here, but can't figure out where to post it. Don't want to break any forum rules, but I don't see a way to post in the classifieds OR the Marketplace tabs at the top right of the page. I have searched the FAQ and didn't see anything. My only assumption is that you have to be a Premium member?. When I click on the "Membership" tab it just gives you the option to buy a year membership etc. I'm usually pretty good at finding stuff, but I am at a loss for this one. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

Here is a little tiny watercolor I did several years ago:

How much would it cost to have one of those done of a photograph? I'm thinking about my dogs looking out of my 911. Would be pretty cool.

The only issue would be the photo. I like to take my own photos as i'm sure you can understand. I am however, probably heading out to just south of LA in late March or so to photograph some other cars for paintings.
