Not surprising. Joe is a petty criminal and should be avoided at all costs. Period. Trying to reason with him is an exercise in futility.

Having a problem with Joe is analogous to having herpes; it's never going to get fixed...

On January 10, 2012, we received documentation from Joseph Cogbill, indicating German Auto Dismantlers has been closed since November 13, 2010. He also indicates complaints against German Auto Dismantlers cannot be resolved since the corporation has been closed and there are no assets or inventory remaining. German Auto Dismantlers sold used Porsche Parts.
Mr. Cogbill indicates in 2011 he started a new business Stuttgart Classic Parts which sold New Porsche parts only. This business has closed as well. The company sold the Stuttgart Classic parts website and all new parts inventory to a company by the name of Einmailig on December 28, 2011. Any complaints relating to Stuttgart Classic Parts cannot be resolved since the assets are gone and the business has been terminated. Consumers logging on to the website stuttgartclassicparts.com are redirected to the website for the following company.
Einmalig
5455 Production Drive
Huntington Beach, CA. 92649

The report for Einmalig is issued by BBB of Colton California. A copy of their report can be viewed by clicking the link below.
http://www.la.bbb.org/business-revie...h-CA-100105216

As of January 1, 2012, Mr. Cogbill is currently listed as President of E Pullit Auto Parts. BBB Atlanta issues a separate report for this business which can be viewed by clicking the following link.

http://www.bbb.org/atlanta/business-...=1&gen=1&lid=1

According to information in the BBB files, it appears that the company is no longer in business. Directory assistance does not have a listing for this company. The BBB's mail to this company has been returned as undeliverable. If you have an unresolved dispute with this company you may wish to seek legal advice.

Interesting who ended up with all the parts, we know where some came from, plus, how was he funding the new ventures, with as many people as he has burned, it is a good bet that suppliers were too..

years ago when i was restoring 356's, there were a few thieves selling parts that were well known among the 356 crowd - these guys were pieces of sh-t.

there were 3 guys in pasadena/huntington beach selling 356 parts/engines and they were junk - this was before the internet got popular so phone calls were the only way we could notify one another.

do every porsche owner a favor and notify the forums when you are ripped off.

Wow. I bought something from him years ago when he ran PAP parts nearly 10 years ago. I think it was 16"x7/8 BBS wheels that he said were in excellent condition and straight and ended up not being as good has he claimed. But I guess that explained why the price was so good. Whatever the case, I "threw them in" with the car when I sold it (I still had the 15" fuchs that had come with the car).

Congrats on the Win, and yes, he was a decent driver BITD, too bad he isn't a decent human being....

In 1969, at age 13, Joe Cogbill was introduced to Porsche racing by his father and the pair prepared and maintained a 1960 356 Porsche. In 1979, Joe began his racing career with a 1959 Porsche Speedster. He finished second at the Atlanta Runoffs in 1981 to another Speedster driven by John O'Steen.

In 1982, 1983, and 1989, Joe won the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Runoffs with his Porsche Speedster. The victories brought Joe recognition from the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany as being one of the top 20 drivers in the world. In 1982, 1987, 1988, and 1989, Joe was a recipient of the coveted Porsche Cup.

In 1985 Joe campaigned the Brumos-Goodyear-P.A.P. 944 in the Playboy Endurance Series. Joe finished all 6 races and drove with such notable drivers as Sterling Moss, Innes Ireland, John O'steen , Elliot Forbes-Robinson, Jim Truman, Doc Bundy, Manfred Janke (PR Director For Porsche), Hurley Haywood, Dominic Dobson, and John Buffum.

Default Joe Cogbill is a piece of.......

He tried to take me for 8500 dollars for a G50/52 transaxle. When it showed up the "perfect" transaxle's case had been welded and the shift rod was bent. Glad I put it on an american express card. They did a charge back and I sent him back that piece of junk. Cost me 100 bucks in shipping. I'd like to punch him in the face. Nice going Joe. You know in the end a man only has his reputation. Sounds like you carved out quite a legacy for yourself as a swindler. I guess when he started he never conceived of something like the internet. No longer can these thieves hide from their past and wrong they perpetrated on others. F#$% you JOe!!!!!!

Good riddance.

Porsche 911 Rear Center Lens 1974-86 NOS Price: $600
Porsche 911 631 432 03 (latest super cession #) rear center lens in new old stock for 1974-86 911 cars. The production of these lenses as sold by Bosch to the aftermarket was stopped almost ten years ago and they are only available through the Porsche dealer for an $865 list price with very little discount AND the Hologram writing of the "Porsche" logo is no longer black letters and looks different. This one was bought new and never used. Notice the picture of the box before I cut the tape to make the picture. It is in perfect new condition.

Was going to order a 915 gearbox from him today but glad I searched the forums.

Looks like I'll try to rebuild myself.

seems he is a car dealer now as well. This black 912 is rusted to hell underneath. I doubt the others will match their glorious descriptions.
