I'm loving living back in SoCal with a 911...
Threw 6 gallons of 100 octane and 7 gallons of 91 today and ran out San Pasqual Rd, then came home to watch Indy. Here's tomorrow's pre-breakfast drive. At this rate, I'll never get close enough to the water to get another sailboat.

100 OCTANE! OH NO!!!!! Welcome to So Cal. Land of VPRacing fuel. Ya gotta love it! Do you remember how much crap I took when I announced my secret blend? I remember getting hammeded and almost didn't come back. Just kidding on the comming back part.

I've got a jug of VP in the garage, but this actually came out of a pump at a 76 in Perris. I've got to blend my 95 or so octane til I end up putting a 2nd set of plugs in, hopefully this Winter.

Wish I could go for a ride tomorrow. some how I got sucked into a remodel here at the house. I closed in a 14' x 18' section upstairs. I was going to widen the cat walk and that turned into a loft and that turned into full on closure of half the upstairs. Oh well, I can swing a hammer with the best of 'em. We'll still get togeather at some point.

I hear ya....I'm outta here at 6:30, off to S'bucks for a couple of doses of espresso laden steamed milk, 40 minutes for the drive, back home for breakfast and walking the dog, off to Lowe's by 8:30 to buy closet organizing stuff, then back home to install same. I'm recording the Rolex race @ 11:00, and will settle in to watch it at about 2pm, Mojito and Cuban cigar in hands.

A couple of pics from this morning. Ruby is the "Apple of My Eye", so that means the one pic is comparing apples & oranges.
The scenery in the area is spectacular and ever-changing.

Ever-changing - that's for sure! Same goes for our weather in the middle of the state. Ten days ago it was 100 F + here for three straight days, we just finished up three days of highs in the 60s (!!!), along with a small but substantial downpour (for us that's about .25"), and off and on drizzle. We thought that summer was here - surprise!
Ed: I live about 20-minutes from Buttonwillow, if you run an event there let me know and I'll come over and look you up. Be careful with the stadium, they love to set up brake zones on bumpy pavement just for the grins and giggles of watching people fly off the course backwards at 100 mph - ask me how I know!
