Default Suggestions for Easy Alternative to Lugging Targa Top?

I would like to find a lightweight solution to lugging around my Targa Top on nice days. When I park for more than 30 minutes, I would like to protect my interior from baking. I have been looking into the Carbrella tops below, but not sure if they are worth the $179. Is there another alternative like a bikini top, etc?

I've got a top made of car cover materia that goes just to the bottom level of the windows all around, velcro straps around mirrors, wipers and has some chunks that go under the top seam of the decklid at the rear. I think I got it from Perf Products a few years back, maybe $90?

Hell, why not make one from dash protector with reflective material. It may be too short unless you use a Semi Truck sized one. My 2 cents

I too have been using one of that style that Ed showed the link for. It has worked great for about 8 or 9 years now. EZ on EZ off. Does not take up much room in the trunk either.

I just saw this in their catalog yesterday and was considering it as well. My concern was would it stay on in high winds.

I bought a used Carbrella from a guy on the Pelican board. That thing is great- light weight, easy to use, folds and stores on the back shelf- I wish I had bought one earlier. Only downside is, if you use the sucker-dibbles on your windows to hold it on, they leave marks. Overall though, well worth it.

Hope this helps.

Paul.

Seems that way since Performance doesn't show it anymore. I'll be screwing around in the garage off and on this weekend, I'll see if there's any info on the manufacturer on a label or something.

Thanks Ed! I put a WTB ad on Pelican and someone contacted me that had a used Carbrella. I'm buying it from him. I would still like to get the info on the manufacturer of the one you bought though. Thanks

I checked, no label....just stenciled "05-03-1".

If I went to my receipt file and looked for it, I may go into cardiac arrest, so I'm going to pass on trying to find any more info on the cover I have!!
