If you are going to consider a 964, do some research first. Some of the early ones had issues.

I know some of them do, we will see where the search takes me. Right now I am going to be looking at a well sorted '89 targa the end of this week. Thus far it has been educational. The 911 buyer is a very discriminating, calculating, type of buyer. When something good comes my way I let the group know.

The reason is because if you can afford a brand new one, then you don't have to concern yourself with the pity details of $10,000 engine repairs on the old ones! So we buy the old ones at an 80% discount, but in reality, if you make a poor choice and buy the wrong car, your 80% discount becomes 60% and then 40% real quick.

Is the '89 Targa a 3.2 or 964?

Here is the link to the car http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=29

We will see what happens, I am waiting for a second response from the owner to set up a time to see the car. Hopefully this weekend, but maybe difficult with all the snow we are currently getting.

Who's car is this? If they know Peter Zimmerman, chances are, they know Rennlist. I also know Fisher Motors in Barrington - they sponsor all the local Chicago PCA DEs. So this could also be a PCA car.

This looks like a really sorted out car. Not quite a garage queen, but pretty close. You know of Fisher Motors? I have been by there a few times, looks like a good shop. I agree with you rennsource it sure looks like a sweet ride.

Very nice. I'd like to see some interior pics. FWIW, my '89 is stone gray metallic over linen- love it!

Cheers,

Paul.

I will see what I can do for the interior pictures. It does look a little bit like your car. I think is a pretty unique color.
