Hi Gang,
I just bought a set of SSI's & need the muffler. I remember this discussion from the past as to what sounds the best...too loud....too much money (the heat exchangers hit me pretty hard, but I got a killer deal on evil-bay). I'd like the best bang for the bucks......as I don't have much left. Any opinions would be appreciated, as well as any connections for something used.
Thanks, Steve

I've had a Dansk and loved the sound. It has been replaced with a much lighter weight M&K, which sounds deeper and less metallic. This is from a few feet behind the car as everything sounds the same in the car with my helmet on.

What's best depends on the sound effect your after. I had a Bursch on my 81 nad I didn't like it, too loud and raspy for my tastes. I put a 2 into 1 Dansk sport muffler on, polished stainless, and I love the sound, it sounds stock, just a bit louder. Looks great too. I just have to have that beautiful 911 sound.
