I wouldn't go M&K. The two times I've seen report of them being dyno'd, power was lost. It isn't much, but with what it costs to get a few more ponies out of a 911, why give up HP? Sure, it may sound good and be cheaper than some, but again, people spend big amounts to make our cars faster.

A Flowmaster, Maxflo, or DynoMax is cost effective too.

Cool Try this on for size

With the SSI header/heat exchanger system, you may want to consider mufflers from Smart Racing. Go to www.smartracingproducts.com, download their catalog (Great stuff in there), go to page 27 for description and pricing on Jerry Woods Phase-9 Mufflers.

Contained withing the catalog is a great article on suspension tuning the 911..in addition, you won't believe the trick parts that Smart Racing sells.

The phase-9 is an excellent muffler, but it will be very loud for a street car.

"A Flowmaster, Maxflo, or DynoMax is cost effective too."

If limited budget is a consideration, I would eliminate all brands discussed except for the above. An early 911 2 in/1 out is also a candidate for modification > twin pipe, RS configuration.

One guy I know, and there was just recently a thread on Pelican where someone said they dyno'd at 4HP less with M&K.
