Default Any recommendations on a car transporter?

Need to look for quotes on shipping a car from the upper West coast to the upper East coast. Doesn't need to be enclosed, just insured and timely. Any referrals?

It cost me 1000 dollars to ship from LA to Chicago. It was expensive and there were a couple of scratches left on my car, but they were so minor that I didn't really care. My insurance covered it anyway. However, you are lucky enough that you live on the east coast and want to transport from lower east to upper east. There is an Amtrak train that transports cars, but they only go from upper east to lower east and lower east to upper east. You lucky bastard! They charge very little and offer insurance, you just have to get your car to the train. Google it im sure youll find it.

I used Intercity for the 928 from Norcal to Maine with great results. Not a scratch, timely and enclosed. A bit pricey but worth it considering the alternatives.

Oh and don't use DAS, they took nearly 6 weeks for the same distance.

I just used DAS from San Fran to Connecticut last week. $1,065, door to door service with insurance. Plus, they have an online tracking service, so I could track my car every day to see where it was (cool I thought). Only took a week, no issues whatsoever. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hi, new to Rennlist!

You can try B&E Affordable Transport Brokerage ask for Michael 606-354-3643. I have recommended Micahel to numerous people and they have had good luck with him. He can find an affordable reliable transport company.

Thanks-Alex

I had my '84 3.2 shipped from Philly to my door in WI for $1070 via Intercity Lines. Quick and flawless transaction.

My brother had his '65 911 delivered from CA to WI for $1800 via Intercity. Again, relatively quick and the car came without any damage. They are a top notch car transporter.

I have to give my two cents.
I used intercity before, perfect in everyway, closed, no worries. Worth every cent.
I bought a new lexus three weeks ago and had shipped from beverly hills to louisiana, by MRV transport out of california.
Bumper cover damaged with scrape marks, door ding/paint sag? They're paying for it, but thats not the point.
Peace of mind while you car is on someone elses truck is worth any price.
I was so tweaked at myself for not getting my own shipper I couldn't stand it, never again.
Drive it yourself if you can, otherwise pay the premium. Seriously

x3 on DAS. I have used them twice, but they told me last fall that they don't ship p-cars on open trailers anymore, only enclosed. So, you'll have to pay a bit more $.

I've used Horseless Carriage in NJ, twice from California to New Jersey; never had any problems...Arrived as scheduled, enclosed trailer.

It's been awhile; don't know about their pricing now...
