Might just be a 'bait and switch'...."Oh no, that one was just sold but I have one that is just like it..............."

Bait and switch? but they have "service integrity trust" painted on the wall of the showroom.

Whats next? Are you going to tell me they dont have all 70 cars on thier site in stock? and they buy on eBay inder a few names and then sell under their banner?

Oh wait.. oh never mind

they shouldn't be selling cars , they should be a detailing shop , because I would definitely give them an A+ in this department.

It's scary how they are still advertised in Panarama along with our other favorite MM.

Last year, before I was informed by fellow rennlisters of the shoddy rep, I called Victory on two early 911's. Both times the car was "just sold", and the bait and switch game got started. Considering I'm 2-for-2, my guess is about 1/2 the cars on the website are actually current.

I think just about all these guys operate under the same M.O. Two years ago I bought a low-mileage 97 993TT from Truspeed Motorsports. They have an excellent reputation. It ws advertised and represented as "pristine, like new" I paid $85K (top dallar). It turned out to be a POS. It was in at least one wreck (major paintwork), only two original hollow spoke wheels, and a bad slave cylinder. I took a bath on that car.

Now I only buy cars from club members (PCA, POC, etc) and get a good PPI.

I dont want to lump all dealers in with garbage sellers like VMC, I dont think thats right. I have had good expereince with several Porsche resellers, and I dont need to list them I am not trying to tout them. As with so many other sales/service businesses there are good people and not so good people and the not so good ones make it hard for the decent people in the business.

I tell people all the time about PPI's!! I tell them NOT to be like me!! I am so far deep into my car its not funny but I have it the way I want it now so, 2 years later , all is good. Heck it should be, I have replaced everything!!

I don't think there is anything wrong with telling people you have had good experiences with certain vendors, we dod it on the Canadian forum all the time and it helps guide the new people to vendors we all trust, doesn't mean it is going to work out 100% of the time but it is certainly helpfull.
Yeah John I know what you mean , I posted about that some time ago , looks like Pano will take anybodies money.

Ever since the first time I saw some Victory photos, I've been working on my vacuuming technique to get that perfect crosshatch pattern. I'm close, but not there yet. I'm convinced it's all in the wrist action, as so many things are.
That's gotta be worth $5K right there.
