Turbolook option value 10k over narrow body. 491 optioned units relatively rare, chassis is very much better with improver roll centers. 86 still with 915 tranny though. 87 up with g50. Buy every one you can.

The proof is in documented sales, and Sports Car Market Magazine currently places a + $4,000 premium on Turbo Look cars... However, to replicate a Turbo Look car would cost far more than that amount, so maybe this is one of those models that hasn't truly found its place in the market yet. Yes, the '86 is still fitted with a 915, but it's a reinforced 915, and if driven correctly should not give any problems. The car might even be fitted with 9" rear wheels, and that should definitely be checked.

As of two years ago, the M491 Optioned Carreras had definitely "not found it's place in the market"...
I attempted to sell an '87 Cab with 56,000 miles on it, very nice condition thruout, paint was immaculate, new tires, interior very clean and original, absolutely no corrosion or weather damage.
Started at $27,900.00.... not a nibble...
Dropped it to $25,000.00 ... a few nasty comments about the fact that the car had a bolt in roll bar installed... no buyers...
Dropped to $23,000... more nasty comments about the Nutmeg Brown Metallic paint color... no offers...
Dropped it to $19,900.000 ... still nothing! Gave it to a friend of mine to sell. Last I knew, it was still in storage at his place... prolly should check and see if I have any money coming!
All interested M491 possible owners; feel free to apply!

LOL Victory is out of favor with you for buying at $12,000 and selling at $22,000 and you want to advertise here at $19,900 and sell at $29,900? I love you man, but it's funny. I wish I had a second Porsche just sitting around so I could have your problems.
truth be told on me....the "s" at $20,000 that I knew about, turned into a "t" at $25,000 as soon as interest was shown. so, we all make mistakes, even me.

Hey, Doug, It wasn't me that made the remarks about Victory at $12 and $20K, and I never said I bought at $19 and wanted to sell at $29K either! I said two years ago, I had "advertised the M491 and $19,900, and got no takers... Paid a hell of a lot more than that for it...
Where are you coming from??? The Victory info was from somebody else on a different thread entirely...
Better go back and check your sources on these "quotes"!

you are correct....It was not you that commented on Victory, but you did post a price that we all saw at $19,900 with the addition of ".....feel free to apply". it looked like an add to me. To then come back and say $29K is quite a jump. I hope it sell at that price. If you have a 50% jump in value in the same market in 2 years that is awsome. sold in some of the shops along the coast out here, minus the roll bar, you would get that price and more.
sorry I would love to stay and chat, but my wife is lurking over me.....

I think this is the Porsche on eBay by victory motorcars: Item number: 140157107294. I believe he also has it advertised on autotrader for $36K with 35,000 miles. I've read many derogatory post about this dealership in spite of their good eBay rating. Seems to me a proper PPI could reassure one's anxieties. I've always felt I can do business with anyone as long as it's on my terms.
