And to think I started this thread by complaining about the offers accepted price (and I still don't like that aspect).

Pete, you are missing a few pictures- the car appears to be very well documented- even has the receipt from when the A/C was put on the car in one of the pictures not shown in Jay's post.

Robert and Pete- I find your comments very interesting- I always think of people like you when I see an old car I like....I wonder what it was like in the day, what the new owner must have thought when he bought it- the excitement, etc.

Jay- based on the price of other cars around that time, I would think buying a new 66 911 would cost closer to $60K or more in today's dollars...
