A similar thing happened to me when I was shopping*- I negotiated a decent deal (right place /right time /right people) and the day before we were to complete the sale his mechanic found out about the $price$ and he jumped in a bought it out from under me!
Granted I did not actually give the gent a depo$it as finalization transpired over the phone after my initial inspection, etc - but in any case I thought that was pretty low...- esp. for the mechanic!

i told the mechanic to give me the bill but he said the owner was getting a few other things done so he would pay for it.i thought it was a bit funny but....what kills me is the guy would have taken 13k for the car had i made the offer, since he is not these cars and it was a settlement on a bad debt.i'm into the e30 m3s and the e34 m5s.in all the cars i've bought this is the first ppi i had done.

I am involved with a Factory M-491 Turbo-Look Groupe and there may be a pristine '87 still available in the Northwest. A fellow member wrote the following:
"Jan 30, 03
Paul my 1986 TL coupe really up for sale if you know anyone interested. It's Grand Prix White- Brown int. and it has 40,000 miles on it. No oil leaks and a new set of Yokohama AVS Sport tires. No kids or smoke and I'm the only one that drives it (but not in the winter). I've got a bunch of stuff that goes with it like a new factory rear spoiler, and installation kit with an extra rear deck lid so a guy doesn't have to ruin the factory original one."
I believe Dale’s car was delivered with the “Spoiler Delete” option. His e-mail is: DQuailsmith@aol.com Let me know what happens!
