Thoughts on this look for my new T?

Be honest...what do you think of this look? I'm going to clean up the look of the car with simple fiberglass fron/rear bumpers, but I'd like to avoid painting them twice when I eventually paint the whole car. The silver will be the color of the whole car, but not for a few years. So for the time being, it would look like this. Thoughts? ...don't be afraid to be honest!

It'll look good when it's all shot, I think. I don't personally care for the two tone as shown, honestly. Then again, it doesn't matter Jack what I think, it's what YOU think - you're the guy driving her.

Its a legit look...if not the look of one's dreams....If you saw what my "S" looks like right now, you wouldn't even ask, and I drive around happy as sh*t. Look at it this way.... you could be driving a Cavalier....
BTW... is that the origional color? I kind of like it.... anyway, looks like a sweet, straight car.

Thanks. The car is a little rough around the edges, but overall it's a good car. It's not the original color. We think it was Sepia or some other '70s flat brown. One of the P.O.s painted it this metallic brown (and painted over the paint code!). It's livable...for now.
...OK, now I'm curious...you have to post a pic of your S...

Sepia?.....puke!
The S is a retired track car and I have personally counted 14 different shades of yellow on the car ranging from shiny clear-coat to chalk-board... it is UggglEEEE.
It is origionally a Champaigne Yellow custom order car... I'm having a bit of a crisis of conscious about painting it, as as I'm really not wild about the color, but also would like to keep it origional... fortunately I have pleanty of time to think as I have to wait until I have $6K burning a hole in my pocket to get it re-done.... BTW I'm taking donations....

I hate to add to your conscious, but I'd have to agree...for an early S, original is best.

Yeah.... thinking of cheating and getting the body guy to brighten the color just a bit... but still have something that could "pass" as Champaign Yellow. Plus a color change is more expensive. Not planning to ever sell the car, but don't want to be stupid... (not that I don't have alot of experience in that area....)

I suppose it would still be quite valuable as long as you kept it a factory color for 1970 cars. Hell, do what you want. Let the next owner paint it champaign!

Fiberglass is much more subject to stone chips than steel. I like the two-color look you posted, but depending on how long you go before the full color change, you might be re-painiting the front bumper just to clean up the damage.

Good point Jack. This is definitely a driver, no matter what I do to it.
I think I'm just going to do the all one color and have my existing front bumper painted sans trim. Then I'll only 'have' to buy a one piece rear bumper. There are a few other spots on the car I might like to have touched up, and it'll save me from having to have them mix two paint colors.
For instance, this decklid has too many logos on it...
