I subscribe to their mailing list and I look at their cars very closely. Considering what they as for their restorations their builds are questionable to my untrained eyes.

If I can pick out finishing issues in their pictures than that says a lot.

I would agree on the follow up. It is pretty bad. It is amazing to me how much organizations stand out when you have experienced good communication and timely follow up. (which should be normal SOP in my opinion) The message they send to me with that lack of follow up is they don't need or want the business very bad.

I am also having a very troubling experience and am using an attorney to try to get the pink slip and registration to a vehicle I purchased and accepted in August of 22. I imagine the car was on consignment and they haven't paid the owner.

Yikes! I was about to schedule a visit there — they have two cars in their inventory that I am interested in. MadPhoenix and/or Punkster1954, can you expand on your experience with them?

If they have the actual vehicle in their inventory (you see it in person) and you can pay them and drive away with the car same day.... let's just say that would be ideal for you. Happy to discuss more over a private chat.

You guys are conflating two completely different shops however the outcome may be similar Espositos in the valley was known to be well respected while the father John was on site doing the work and over seeing what was being done he had a bad injury or illness about five years ago now and his daughter took over with different staff and of course different results the thread is on Pelican and Early registry .
The other shop CPR or California Porsche Restorations is in LA and was renowned also even recently never heard of anyone getting the short shrift , years ago when the main guy was Brian they had many world class
restos and also original cars with empecable records and awards as well ….since Brian passed they still do excellent work but not the same customer attention as before …
Just my opinion , Bert

If you want the truth call Woodside Credit and ask them about CPR Classic in Fallbrook.

Do not do business with CPR Classic in Fallbrook....lots of issues with sellers and buyers getting the runaround.

I suspect an article like this will be coming for CPR.

BAT just listed a car that CPR Classic “sold” last year and is part of a pending lawsuit. VIN: 9112300505 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-porsche-911s-18/

The seller of this car is a close family friend of CPR owner’s and was somehow part of scam or didn’t disclose that his car wasn’t for sale.

All I can say is CPR Classics in Fallbrook is bad news. You will get burned if you try buying or consigning with them. Look at the recent google reviews. Buyers not getting titles. Sellers not getting paid. I know of two acquaintances that are owed $100k plus and have hired attorneys to deal with it.

I wonder if the seller on BaT has a clear title on that signal orange 911s? Even if he does, there could be liens on the title. I would think twice about bidding/buying any car that CPR touched.

Yikes. Is there something public you can point to for this car? You should post into the BAT. It doesn't look like it has been raised in the comments yet.

I had my car on consignment with them - they sold it to a person in Georgia - it took awhile for the title to go through - but based on carfax the guy had the car serviced in January in Georgia - so they had my money before then. Still waiting. I get a daily run-around. I am pressing charges for fraud and a sizable bad check. This is not legal.
