Prep work continues. Soon enough we can start putting it all in the car.

This is awesome! I just joined the board as I am about to have my grandfathers 1974 Targa Carrera (red) restored. I won't need body work on it though as its been inside its whole life and is pretty mint overall. What are the key items to make sure I have on the check list for this car that you have found might not be obvious?

Incredible project. Can only imagine how it felt to uncover all that metal work that needed to be done.
I am getting active with my 75 targa. Been put up for the last 12 years and it's time now to bring it back. Projects like this are inspiring. Got me reconsidering the future color too.

It is hard to point out specific items/details/areas that might not be obvious. But if you have any questions about something let me know.

Some time from the last post, but the work has not stopped. Bits and pieces going on the car.

What material is that which you used on top of the floor pan? This continues to be a really enjoyable and intriguing thread...

It is a "tar" like soundproofing mat. Similar to the soundproofing mats which have the aluminium foil on them, but just with the "older" look.

Starting to get close to completion. A lot of work on the outside and on the undercarriage has been done. Now the interior awaits.

Looking fantastic! The finish on the Targa hoop is perfect and the paint looks superb.

Starting to look like a car. Also keeping some of the original panels in the interior. That is the story of the car.
