I think you may have misunderstood what was meant. spacing made it harder to understand. I read it as:

no motor/trans/clutch work

or... said another way.. motor/trans/clutch are all original as delivered when new?

Maybe I'm the one who misunderstood!!??

Top/Under Pics? $40. Unique colors or very very good condition could drive it higher.

Who need's AC in a targa anyways, delete the AC, save the weight. Taking the targa top off really is fun and adds to the driving experience... I rather look at a coupe, race a coupe?? but drive a Targa.

The Targa is my favorite of the lot, I think it's the best of all worlds. No motor work, sounds odd! The valves at minimum, need adjusting every 15k.....

Yup. That's what I did on mine too. You need a/c in a Targa like you need an accordion to go deer hunting.

I am also interested in the OP question..... sorry, this is not a debate about targa vs. coupe... ac in a targa.

I’m new here, so please forgive me if I am out of line trying to bring this back to the original question.

I'd say 40's. My 85 targa which I sold many years ago to a guy in Seattle ( I was living there then) sold it through a broker to an agent in the Netherlands. they sold it last summer for 65K euros!!! at the time that was 4 75K+... crazy.

For sure, am a PCA member and read the classifieds in the back of Panomera mag every month. Solid Targas w/ this mileage are def in the $40, with less miles like mine w/ 80k, mid to upper. However, if the rust is an issue on this one, would hurt....

How much value do you guys give for a G50 model, all other things being equal? Does an '89 vs. 87/88 make any difference on a driver with 100K?

G50 cars seem to do better. But there are exceptions to that. In the same condition and mileage I believe that a G50 car would fetch better money.
