Carpet Kit - Need Recommendations
Hi all,
I'm going to install a new carpet kit and I'm looking at the following:
Lakewell:
http://www.lakewell.com/en/porsche/9...sche-911-84-89
Pelican - Domestic Cut Pile:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog..._pg2.htm#item6
Would love to get some feedback from those who have had experience doing a self install of either kit.
thanks!
Jim

I haven't used pelicans carpet kits
but I have used lakewells
Their seats and b pillars
Lakewell I highly recomend.
I can also recomend
Bob budd classic 9 leather shop. He made some custom carpets for me. Excellent as well
Lakewell is in Belgium I believe so shipping was not cheap

Self install is not hard btw
while interior has to come out . good time to coat the floor, clean up wires speakers ect. Inspect the seats if their power.
Just becareful glueing the door pocket carpets

you may also want to consider Tony @ Autobaun
lakewell is great , but you face shipping, euro exchange and fee if your CC does not offer US dollar free exchange.

I just ordered German square weave from Autobaun after getting some samples from a couple places. Dont have it yet so cant speak to the final result but might be worth throwing in for consideration.

Nice, I had a 80 SC black Targa, now I am trying to get my 2003 C4S recarpeted with the square weave. I spoke with Tony he doesn't have the pattern. He is willing to do it from scratch, but I need to bring the car in. I live in WA State so I'll keep looking. Thank you
