Each update about your motor build just ups the ante even more man! You are building a sweet motor for sure. I may talk to them about my heads as well, although I am not doing nearly as much as you are. I can then compare them to Ollie's for my (much simpler) work. Looking forward to seeing your final build.

More tears on my bank account below. Stock rebuilt vs. billet DLC.

We'd like it to take a 9k mechanical overrun. These will help.

Very nice. The guts of your motor are top notch. I am making my first delivery to Ollie's this week. I am hoping my parts aren't beyond machining. If they are, it makes sense to make some upgrades. I will be be curious for weight and dyno results of your completed motor!

the good news is mag cases are pretty cheap. 'done' they are more $ obviously. Likely will be fine, it was the later cars with the 2.7 that has more issues due to heat and the exhaust design.

On mine, it was i think 20k on a rebuild, it already had case savers (we removed and put new ones), it was all straight except 1 of the mains was slightly off, so basically fine.

Yeah goal is fully modern internals + engine control/induction. In an old case :-) There are SO many known formulas in these old cars but there are very few builders it seems taking knowledge from new technology and applying it to the old cars. Thats a shame. I guess for concourse queens I get it...

I suspect it will move nicely, but the goal isn't max power, its a good street motor.

all i want for christmas are some ITBs... some ITBs... some ITBs...

Something like this, builder has 'complete creative control' on the cosmetics. He has good taste :-)

Full induction/ignition coming from Andrew at Rasant.

CRANK-Y.

The maker of these has them spinning in excess of 9k. Allows use of GT3 rods + bearings.

Forged, 6-bolt, 70.4 stroke

This is just a teaser! Want to know more I am starting to think you display your split motor case as decor. This thing is full of jewelry that will be bad to seal up!

interesting those look tricky...use shim on bucket adjusters? We considered that. For a street motor... ya light, will rev to moon, but adjustments are a... job.

Yep, exactly ! Shims apparently. And yes, adjustments reported to be a chore. But, vintage trick bits for sure !! And now installed in one of Ed's motors. An old race car I think will be his AutoX demon. ; )
