[QUOTE=No dyno is needed, other than a properly functioning butt version of one, to feel the difference in most of the cars. It's real,[/QUOTE]

That is exactly the point I was making earlier - if you cant feel the difference behind the wheel - aint no point to it!!!

But . . . but . . but . . .

I've been reading these chip posts for 4 years now & it seems that there is a process of 4 steps to get it right.

1. Euromuff
2. Sport exhaust
3. Chip tuned for the above
4. Ignor the troll

Ian

Sorry Lori, you can't have your claims both ways. All of a sudden, your argument against Steve's "smoke and mirrors" when it comes to modifying a chip doesn't apply to Autothority? I'd say your true colors of having a hard-on against Steve come thru loud and clear.

Oh, now his immaculate highness is using the word 'probably'.....who would have thought he'd ever stoop so low to not know everything?

BTW, who on these boards would ever support such a condescending a$$ who insults groups of potential customers thusly? I'd buy new, used, whatever before I'd ever send anything to such a jerk for repair. While I hope I don't have such an issue, I'll vote with my dollars if I ever do.

Now, back to my Blue Moon and my Cuban...

Ian you are correct the chip is only a part of the upgrade process and is best replaced last after all other tuning is done to maximise the full potential of the chip (if custom set up - off the shelf chip would not matter when fitted... unless set up for the mods you are adding to your car).
My car has had a few other tweaks - but apart from the exhaust note - no real diff at the seat behind the wheel until the chip was installled - then WOW!!

Ed: We're having a rare event here, I think they call it rain. The clouds rolled in just as the eclipse started - we missed it too!

(I hope Ed knows the asparin is to thin our blood after all the steak, not 'cause he gives me a headache.)

Thumbs up

I tried numerous performance enhancments to my 87 carrera and the SW chip made a huge, immediate difference in the WOW! factor. I hated the mid-range flat spot that everyone who owns one knows about. Now its a distant memory.

Thanks Steve!

Impossible. 100% of Loren's polled say that can't happen.
